established since 2005.
Welcome to the Boyle Heights Historical Society

OUR MISSION: is to engage the public's interest to collect, preserve, appreciate and share knowledgle relevant to the diverse social, ethnic, cultural, geographic and architectural heritage of Boyle Heights within its regional contex.

In early 2005, a group of dedicated community residents began meeting with experienced archivists and historians to organize events and raise awareness of the rich heritage of Boyle Heights. In 2006, an interim board of directors was formed. These volunteers have labored to create the foundation of an organization devoted to the history of Boyle Heights
The Boyle Heights Historical Society (BHHS) is a membership based nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage the public’s interest to collect, preserve, appreciate and share knowledge relevant to the diverse social, ethnic, cultural, geographic and architectural heritage of Boyle Heights within its regional context.
The Boyle Heights Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization No. 284202.

Our monthly meetings are held at the Boyle Heights City Hall
2130 E. 1St. Street/Chicago

Please enter at the rear where the parking lot is.
Additional parking is at the Benjamin Franklin Library across the street.
